Murder At The Sands
- On 9 June 2008, HAmDramS presented a Murder Mystery evening. Fifty guests were transported back to the 1950’s, where they had to unravel the skullduggery which had been taking place at Mepalthorpe Sands holiday camp. The main hall of the Arkenstall had become The Sands Ballroom, and was decked out with bunting and spot-lit tables. Guests watched the drama unfold whilst enjoying a four-course roast dinner, and claiming their complimentary drinks using the specially supplied ration cards.

- After twists and red herrings such as black marketeering and three-way love affairs had been revealed (plus a little bit of light relief in the form of a Knobbly Knees competition), the characters were subject to strong interrogation before the evidence was sifted and verdicts recorded over coffee. Two teams correctly guessed the murderer’s identity, and the evening concluded with the perpetrator confessing all to a jubilant audience.
